About Us

Veterans + Meditation

This project, is my way of continuing a journey of healing, by raising money to send fellow veterans with PTSD to the Deepak Chopra Center to learn life changing meditation just as I have done. Allowing veterans a chance at finding and being yourself again by quieting your mind and learning to accept the past which then allows you to unlock the future. I understand the health problems all too well if you try to bury your feelings and pain. Those feelings and pain will manifest into severe health problems see "my story" below

Finding and being yourself

After the gunfire, explosions, smoke, smells, adrenaline and shear terror that is combat. You are left with memories, dreams, guilt, an attitude that civilian life is trivial and a realization that most people just don't understand how you feel. Why, because unless you have seen and survived, you won't understand.

Well, I understand.....  and I hope to help others in finding and being yourself again, through meditation. It has helped me more than anything else.

I simply want to help, perhaps you do too!!!

Unlike other charities where a portion of the money raised goes to the cause, ALL OF THE MONEY will go to helping veterans and their struggles

Our Program

Meditation

Meditation is a simple yet powerful tool that will take you to a state of profound relaxation, dissolve fatigue and accumulated stress, and renew your creativity and passion for life.

By its very nature, meditation calms the mind, and when the mind is in a state of restful awareness, the body relaxes as well.

Studies have shown that by learning and practicing daily meditation you can improve your mental and physical including:

Lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels

Reduced levels of stress and anxiety

Increased production of the anti-aging hormone DHEA

     Improved immune function

     Greater focus and attention

In addition to these benefits, meditation brings a profound sense of calm and inner peace into your daily life

How you can help???

Vetitation is asking for tax deductible donations big or small to help send veterans with PTSD to the Chopra Center in Carlsbad, California to learn life preserving meditation while attending the "Meditation Weekend" and "Weekend Within" seminars which helps the veteran find peace and heal their mind, body and spirit.

Over the 3-day retreat, the veteran will receive a gentle, guided introduction to Primordial Sound Meditation, Ayurveda, and Yoga, while enjoying the many amenities at the world-renowned Omni La Costa Resort & Spa.

Weekend Within – created and led by world-renowned expert and pioneer in mind-body medicine, Deepak Chopra, is a rare opportunity for you to leave the chaos of daily life behind, so you return home deeply connected to your authentic self, ready to create the life you were meant to live. This retreat will help you to create clarity on purpose and next steps for manifesting the life of your dreams.

You’ll also be introduced to Yoga and Ayurveda, "the Science of Life" - a 5,000-year-old system of natural healing that can be used in conjunction with traditional western medicine to prevent disease and maintain a healthy balance between body, mind, and spirit.

My Story

I am one of those combat veterans who thought I was fine, I could bury and compartmentalize my memories, mistakes and trauma.

I was tough, still in the fight, I needed nothing. I hid behind lies and pretended nothing bothered me.

I didn’t sleep well and when I did, I had dreams and nightmares

Throughout the day, I was hyper-vigilant and constantly looking over my shoulder, always on high alert for threats or lost in my thoughts of far away places, friends and times.

My health started to decline, I had pain and aches which turned into chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, I have had shingles 17 times now, irritable bowel and autoimmune problems, panic attacks to congestive heart failure, skin rashes and chronic coughs. My body was suffering for my lack of understanding the pain of the past.

I tried the VA, various doctors, alternative medicine, eastern Indian and Chinese medicine to various degrees of success and failure.

But then I found meditation and I have since found sustainable peace and my health has started to stabilize and rebound.

Daily meditation has helped me far more than a whole host of doctors.

My only hope is to help veterans find relief from their past before their bodies start to break from the unrelenting memories that is PTSD.

Corporate Sponsors

Vetitation will work with companies that employ veterans to help them send employees who may benefit from this natural way of healing. Showing the veteran you care by allowing the silent sufferers of PTSD to finally find peace, be even more healthy and productive.

What does it cost?

For as little as $3,375.00 you can sponsor a veteran to attend a 3 day seminar, during which they will obtain the tools to find true inner peace and be able to live the life they were meant to live.

Veterans Need Your Help

A 2013 VA study uncovered that 22 veterans wil commit suicide each day, that is one every 65 minutes. They faced the worst this world has to offer and struggle daily, mostly in silence and you can help stop this madness. We aren't weak, trust me, you don't want to know how PTSD is earned or what this feels like.

Won't you please help
